Ethiopia Cut Mining Power to 23%, Hashrate Fell 35%.
Ethiopia’s miners were promised some of the world’s cheapest hydropower. Now tariffs are rising, available power has fallen sharply, and the country’s hashrate dropped 35% in a single quarter. The more interesting story isn’t simply that drought reduced Ethiopia’s mining…

A GPU Is Not a System
GPU, node, server, system and rack are often used as if they were interchangeable. Each actually describes a different layer of the hardware stack, with different costs and infrastructure requirements. Bitcoin miners have already learned a version of this lesson….

Bitcoin Rallied, Mining Economics at 8 Month High
Bitcoin returned to an eight-month high as ETF inflows accelerated, but miners captured only a part of the rally. A short-term hashrate peak pushed difficulty higher, leaving hashprice stuck near $40/PH/day. Despite margins still being under pressure, PowerCompute announced they…

When Mining Is the Better Bet
AI/HPC can produce more revenue per megawatt, but only when the site, capital structure and operator can support it. For operators with structural energy advantages, smaller or remote sites, flexible loads, or strong mining capabilities, staying focused on Bitcoin mining…

AI Infrastructure’s Next Challenge Is Not Capacity, It Is Scalability
AI infrastructure investment is accelerating, but building more capacity is only part of the challenge. Compute hardware evolves in years, while the power, cooling and facility infrastructure supporting it must remain valuable across multiple technology generations. This makes scalability less…

AI Pays More, So Why Keep Mining?

The rise of AI infrastructure has created a question that’s on the mind of many Bitcoin mining operators: if an AI or HPC contract can generate multiple times more margin per megawatt, why keep a single ASIC machine running? The…

Cango’s 3 MW AI Bet Shows Why Miners Don’t Need to Go All-In
Cango’s latest AI milestone covers just 6% of its Georgia mining site. That small footprint may be the most useful part of the story. The company has completed infrastructure modifications supporting up to 3 MW of AI capacity within its…

The Hashprice Comeback, How Far Can It Go?
Bitcoin mining economics have improved sharply, but the recovery remains highly dependent on what happens next with Bitcoin price and network competition. BTC is struggling to hold above $80,000, while hashrate remains range-bound and difficulty has fallen back close to…

ASICs for Sale. But Who’s Buying?
State of the ASIC Market. More brokers than buyers. That may be an oversimplification, but it captures today’s ASIC market surprisingly well. Bitcoin mining isn’t going away. Network hashrate continues to hover around 900 EH/s, new-generation hardware keeps coming to…

When the Bear Market Starts Creating Opportunities
While Bitcoin is stuck in a range, the mining industry is changing fast. Public miners are selling more BTC, hashrate is falling, AI is pulling capital and infrastructure away from mining, and ASIC prices have collapsed across most efficiency tiers….
