The Bitcoin mining hardware industry has long been dominated by Chinese manufacturers such as Bitmain, MicroBT, and Canaan. For years, U.S.-based miners had little choice but to rely on overseas supply chains that were vulnerable to delays and growing geopolitical tensions.
But in 2022, a new player emerged from Silicon Valley with a different vision. Auradine, founded by a team of seasoned entrepreneurs and technologists, set out to design and manufacture Bitcoin mining hardware in the United States. Their goal was not only to build machines that could compete on performance and efficiency but also to give miners greater resilience in the face of global supply chain disruptions and trade challenges between China and the U.S.
Three years later, Auradine has raised more than $300 million, shipped next-generation Bitcoin miners, and begun shaping industry standards for energy efficiency and networking infrastructure. With its customer-first approach and U.S.-based production, Auradine has positioned itself as a serious disruptor. Let’s dive in.

Auradine’s Teraflux™ lineup includes the AT2880 air-cooled, AH3880 hydro-cooled, and AI3680 immersion-cooled miners engineered for performance, resilience, and flexibility. Each system is designed to maximize efficiency across environments and paired with advanced ASICs and software to deliver reliable output and industry-leading lower total cost of ownership.
Building a Future-Proof Mining Company
Auradine was founded in 2022 by a world-class team of technologists and entrepreneurs with backgrounds spanning semiconductors, SaaS, cybersecurity, and large-scale infrastructure systems. Alumni from companies such as Palo Alto Networks, Marvell, Intel, Google, and Wells Fargo brought deep technical and operational expertise. Collectively, this team has overseen products that generated more than $10 billion in revenues across multi-billion-dollar companies and unicorn startups.
From the outset, Auradine’s founders recognized two core realities shaping the mining landscape:
Bitcoin mining hardware supply chains were dangerously concentrated in China.
Future mining success would depend not only on hashrate output but also on energy efficiency and operational flexibility.
This dual perspective (one eye on geopolitics, the other on operational realities) has defined the success of Auradine’s trajectory.
Strong Financial Backing
Auradine quickly attracted attention from top-tier investors. In May 2023, the company announced an $81 million Series A round. Strategic investors included MARA Holdings, the largest publicly traded Bitcoin mining firms.
Momentum continued into 2024 with an $80 million Series B raise. The oversubscribed round closed in April and brought in new backers alongside existing investors. At the time, Auradine also announced $80 million in bookings and an order backlog exceeding $200 million, underscoring strong market demand for its U.S.-built miners.
In 2025, Auradine closed an oversubscribed $153 million Series C round, bringing total funding to more than $300 million. The round was joined by investors such as Maverick Silicon, Premji Invest, Samsung Catalyst Fund, Qualcomm Ventures, Mayfield, and MARA Holdings. According to its 2024 annual report, MARA held $50.7 million in Auradine preferred stock as of December 31 and had advanced $84.5 million toward future purchases of Teraflux miners throughout the year.
Engineered in the US
The geopolitical backdrop was a key motivator for Auradine’s U.S.-centric strategy. In 2022, China-based manufacturers controlled nearly 98% of ASIC miner sales. Meanwhile, the U.S. semiconductor industry’s share of global capacity had shrunk from 37% in the 1990s to just 12%.
With rising tensions between Washington and Beijing over advanced semiconductors, Auradine saw a brewing storm. Trade restrictions, export bans, and supply chain shocks could all leave U.S. miners stranded with limited access to critical hardware. By providing an alternative to Chinese manufacturers, Auradine aimed to insulate its customers from this risk.
This foresight has become one of the company’s most important differentiators. While most other manufacturers remain vulnerable to policy shifts and shipping delays, Auradine offers miners a secure, robust supply chain that strengthens operational resilience.
The Teraflux™ Product Line
Auradine’s flagship products are its Teraflux™ Bitcoin miners. Since 2023, the company has released multiple models across air, immersion, and hydro cooling formats.
In November 2023, Auradine unveiled the air-cooled and single-phase immersion-cooled ASIC miner.
AT2880: 40 – 270 TH/s with efficiency range of 16 – 18 J/TH, the world’s fastest air-cooled miner at launch.
AI3680: 40 – 360 TH/s with 16 – 19 J/TH efficiency range, purpose-built for immersion setups.
In March 2025, Auradine took another leap forward with a hydro-cooled miner. This closed-loop system improves efficiency, extends hardware lifespan, and the 2U form factor allows for seamless co-existence of Bitcoin and AI workloads in the same data center.
AH3880: 100 – 600 TH/s with 14.3 – 17.5 J/TH efficiency range, with hydro-cooling designed to meet the demands of industrial-scale operators.
End-to-End Solution
Auradine provides a true end-to-end mining solution—spanning from advanced silicon design to full-scale deployment—with its ASICs, turnkey mining systems, and modular containers.
At the heart of this offering is the Teraflux™ ASIC, built on cutting-edge 3nm semiconductor technology. Designed for unmatched efficiency and scalability, it maximizes performance per watt and delivers higher hashrate density in a compact footprint. Enhanced thermal management ensures stable, sustained output at scale. In addition to powering Auradine’s own Teraflux systems, these ASICs are now available as standalone products, giving customers the flexibility to use reference designs or integrate them into custom platforms. This open model enables miners and partners to harness Auradine’s silicon across diverse deployment strategies, driving efficiency and innovation throughout the industry.
Beyond silicon, Auradine offers modular containers developed in collaboration with Fbox, Foghashing, and Giga. Each container can host 100–200 miners and is available in 1MW or 2MW configurations. Supporting air, immersion, and hydro cooling, these customizable units provide the flexibility to match any operational requirement.
Innovation Beyond Hardware
Auradine isn’t just aiming to build faster ASICs, it is optimizing the entire mining ecosystem. Several innovations set it apart:
EnergyTune™ Technology: Enables real-time demand response, allowing miners to reduce or increase energy usage instantly. This turns mining facilities into flexible grid assets and unlocks new revenue streams through energy markets.
SMART Hashboard Technology: Ensures uptime by allowing miners to continue operating through multiple ASIC failures, reducing costly downtime.
Flexible Power Management: Supports a range of power loads, giving operators flexibility in different energy environments.
Integrated Monitoring: Features like OLED screens, advanced liquid detection, and fault indicators simplify operations and reduce risk.
Full-Stack Ownership: Unlike most competitors that rely on third-party components, Auradine controls its entire technology stack from hardware to software.
Customer-Centric Design
Unlike most hardware manufactures who focus narrowly on raw specifications, Auradine places operators and miners at the center of its design philosophy. This miner-first approach is visible in both major innovations and small but practical details that make a big difference in day-to-day operations.
The company has introduced features such as external fan connectors, dual C19 cables for improved reliability, and heavy-duty pull handles that allow machines to be removed from racks quickly and safely. For the air-cooled version the PSU is designed with just two fans, powerful enough to handle significant loads while remaining easy to service. The PSU of the hydro miner can be easily swapped while racked. Customer feedback also plays a direct role in product evolution.
The Teraflux™ portfolio from Auradine brings together the AT2880 air-cooled, AH3880 hydro-cooled, and AI3680 immersion-cooled miners. Purpose-built for efficiency and versatility, these systems leverage Auradine’s cutting-edge ASICs and integrated software to achieve dependable results while driving down operational costs.
